How long have you worked at McMaster? I have been a Lead Hand for 10 years and have worked for 30 years in Hospitality

Tell us a little bit about yourself: I am a very passionate & loyal person who values honesty and integrity. I stride to carry myself to the saying treat others as you would want to be treated.

In 3 sentences or less, describe your job and the best part of your job? I strive to deliver a great customer experience to Students and faculty everyday. I value the relationships I have made through out the years with many people I have had the pleasure of serving.

Name someone you work with that you admire and why. My Senior Manager Cathy Tatsis is a person I am very honoured to call my mentor and friend. She treats all of us with respect and always takes time to listen to any concerns that we may have big or small , always makes sure she tells us how appreciative she is of our hard work.

Tell us about a mentor that you’ve had and how they supported your career development? Or how you’ve mentored someone and supported their development? Again my mentor would be Cathy Tatsis. Cathy has always made me feel like An equal never looking down on us as just workers but as a significant part of the team.

Accountability, empathy and integrity are all the words I would use to describe how I try and carry myself each and everyday at work or outside of work and quality’s I have installed in raising of my son .

What is a piece of advice you would give to someone embarking on their career at McMaster University? It’s a great place to work with many opportunities to find a long and lasting career in any department.
